Science is only as good as the people we train to do it. This pillar reflects our commitment to understanding and improving the pedagogy of the next generation of researchers. Christos holds an MA in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Malmö University, with a thesis examining how PhD supervision courses are designed across Swedish higher education institutions. We believe that doctoral training deserves the same rigorous, evidence-based approach that we apply to our bench research. Too often, supervision practices are inherited rather than intentionally designed, and course structures vary widely without systematic evaluation of what actually works. We are interested in questions such as: What is the appropriate examination for a PhD degree? How do we train supervisors of PhD students across disciplines ? How can we consciously incorporate pedagogical and reflective practice in PhD education in STEM?

This is not a side project but a core mission of the Pan(c)gnosis group. We actively engage in pedagogical research and welcome collaborations with scholars in higher education studies.
